88 clashes occur at front on Nov. 14: Kurakhove sector sees most Russian attacks - Ukraine's General Staff

Since the beginning of the day, 88 combat engagements have taken place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The Russian army is attacking most of all in the Kurakhove sector

This is stated in the General Staff’s report as of 4:00 p.m.

On November 14, the communities of Novenke, Novodmytrivka, Buniakyne in the Sumy region and Lohy in the Chernihiv region suffered from Russian artillery and mortar fire.

Frontline situation 

In the Kharkiv sector, one firefight took place in the vicinity of Hlyboke.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces ten times in the areas of Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Zelenyi Hai, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, Pershotravneve, and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the invading army launched seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka, Druzheliubivka, Nevske, Terny, and Torske. 

Russian troops are trying to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian defense near Verkhniokamianske in the Siversk sector. Two combat engagements were completed without success for the enemy.

Chasiv Yar in the Kramatorsk sector was hit by a single guided missile.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian assaults near Diliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian forces made 14 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near the settlements of Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pushkine, Zhovte, and Pustynka. The Defense Forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled eight enemy attacks, and six combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhivka sector, the Russian army attacked 25 times in the direction of Berestky, Sontsivka, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Zoria, Dale, and Kostiantynivka. Eighteen Russian attempts to advance have already been repelled. In addition, Russia dropped four guided aerial bombs on the settlements of Romanivka and Dachne.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia tried to break through the Ukrainian defense eight times in the areas of Trudove, Yantarne, Rivne, Novodarivka, and dropped 15 guided aerial bombs on Temyrivka, Sukhi Yaly, and Velyka Novosilka.

The Russian army did not conduct any offensive actions in the Huliaipole sector.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invading forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces near Novodanylivka twice.

In the Prydniprovsky sector, the Russian army was defeated, attacking Ukrainian defenses twice.

There were no major changes in other areas.

  • Over the past day at the front, the occupying Russian army lost several dozen pieces of equipment, along with at least 1,690 soldiers.
