Ukraine launches 'Tryzub' platform to simulate cyberattacks, train global security forces
Cyber Ranges, in partnership with Ukraine's State Service for Special Communications and CERT-UA, is launching the Tryzub cyber training service to help governments and military organizations learn to counter cyberattacks using Ukraine's experience
This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
According to him, the platform will simulate real cyberattacks on critical infrastructure in a secure environment. The service will replicate the tactics of major hacker groups, such as Gamaredon and Sandworm, which have carried out operations in Ukraine.
"Military units, government and law enforcement agencies, as well as critical network operators from around the world will be trained on the Tryzub platform," Fedorov wrote.
The minister also added that the Tryzub team will donate part of the proceeds from the training to UNITED24 to support Ukraine.
"For the first time, the war in Ukraine is also taking place in cyberspace, so our experience in this area can become the foundation for global cybersecurity," Fedorov concluded.
- In early November, reports indicated that pro-Russian hacker groups had carried out cyberattacks against South Korea after the DPRK sent troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine.
