We demand to return Espreso, Pryamiy and Channel 5 to the air and punish those responsible for informational sabotage that undermines the unity of Ukraine - statement of the European Solidarity faction

This is stated in a statement published on the website of "European Solidarity".

"Pryamiy, Channel 5, Espreso, among other things, broadcast programs of important international partners - the editors of the Voice of America, BBC, Radio Liberty, France 24".

The shutdown of TV channels is negatively perceived by the multi-million audience of Ukrainians and has received critical criticism from our international partners.

The whole world today is carried away by the dignity and courage of Ukrainians fighting for democracy and freedom.

It is not worthy to send other signals to society and the world at such a responsible and difficult time - about political censorship, selectivity and pressure on the media", the statement says.

"European Solidarity" regards the shutdown of three TV channels as an information sabotage aimed at undermining the unity and democratic foundations of the state.

"We see in the actions of the head of the RRT concern abuse of power and corruption, when it, by its own decision, excluded the channels from the air. According to our information, now the head of the RRT concern is on vacation, which is in the nature of high treason - to cut down the channels and go to rest during the war. Our faction wanted to meet with the head of the RRT and received information that he was on a week's vacation.

We appeal to the United State Political Administration with a demand to initiate criminal proceedings on the fact of exceeding official duties by the head of the RRT concern.

We demand that the prime minister and the government immediately consider at their meeting the issue of the inadequacy of the head of the RRT concerning the position he occupies.

We demand from all those involved in this informational provocation against the state and the suppression of freedom of speech and the right of journalists to a profession to immediately return the channels to the multinational DVB-T2 platform, immediately comply with the Presidential Decree on joining the channel teams to create a common marathon and provide three patriotic channels with a joint slot.

We appeal to all parliamentary factions and journalists from other TV channels who have received a slot in the nationwide marathon to publicly support the teams of the Channel 5, Pryamiy and Espreso TV channels", the ES noted.
