War may slow down, but Russia will not succeed in occupying more Ukrainian lands - Biden
US President Biden believes Ukraine's counteroffensive on the territories temporarily occupied by Russia may slow down, but Russia will not succeed in occupying more Ukrainian lands
US President Joseph Biden said this at the final press conference following the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which was broadcast by the Espreso TV channel.
"Actually, the recapture of Kherson is a very significant victory for Ukraine, I can only applaud the bravery and power of the Armed Forces and the people of Ukraine.
It's hard to say what that means right now, but I want to be clear: we will continue to support Ukraine, we will provide all the necessary support so that they can defend their position," Biden said.
The President of the United States also emphasized that Ukraine cannot be discussed without the presence of its representatives.
"Ukraine must decide how to fight. We understand that winter is approaching and they will probably slow down somewhat, but I have such confidence that Russia will not succeed in occupying more Ukrainian lands," Biden added.
