Ukraine's Defense Ministry is testing floating body armor
Ukraine's Defense Ministry is testing floating modules for special units of the Armed Forces. They are attached to body armor and can support not only the weight of the soldier but also 27 kg of equipment
This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Currently, two samples of such modules are being tested: Ukrainian and foreign-made.
They are designed specifically for naval forces, pontoon boats, special operations forces, and some special units of airborne assault troops.

"If such a vest falls into the water, the air cushion automatically inflates and lifts the soldier to the surface," said Oleksandr Sharko, chief specialist of the Central Department for Development of Logistics Support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The soldiers who tested the floating body armor are currently undergoing a survey.
"The feedback from the soldiers is very important to us. After such tests, we receive important information from the testing teams. This allows us to improve the products so that the Ukrainian army receives ammunition that creates an advantage over the enemy army," added Sharko.
