Russia's strike on Kyiv not response to Zelenskyy's statements - military expert
Military expert Dmytro Sniehyriov believes the recent Russian attack on Kyiv is linked to Ukraine's efforts on the international stage
Speaking on Espreso TV, he explained that the strike was not random, nor was it a response to President Zelenskyy's recent comments. Instead, it’s tied to what's happening on the international stage.
Snehyriov pointed out that the attack comes after a series of key events, including Ukraine’s refusal to negotiate under Hungary's mediation, President Zelenskyy’s international visits, and Ukraine's strikes on Russia’s strategic infrastructure.
The expert says Ukraine is successfully working on the international stage to ease the pressure Russia is placing on Ukraine’s partners.
"Ukraine is still focused on building a coalition for a peacekeeping mission. At the same time, Kyiv is trying to reduce Russia's ability to dictate terms. The recent Russian attack on Kyiv should be seen in the context of these efforts," he added.
