"They are fighting for our freedom": the head of the Polish Sejm called for further provision of weapons to Ukraine to fight the invaders

She said this during a joint press conference with Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratyuk, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukrainians today are fighting not only for their freedom, they are also fighting for our freedom. Therefore, we are obliged to help Ukraine in any way: humanitarianly, as well as to help end this war with arms in hand. Therefore, I urge you to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine and ammunition so that the beautiful and heroic Ukrainian army can effectively defend Ukraine and Europe", said Elzbieta Vitek.

Olena Kondratyuk noted that Ukraine's accession to the EU should now be fast, because it is as important as weapons. According to her, this is fair, because Ukrainians protect not only themselves, but the whole Europe and European values.

Kondratyuk emphasized that the parliaments of Western states should recognize the actions of Russian invaders in Ukraine as genocide. According to the deputy head of parliament, all Russian criminals who give and carry out orders, in particular Vladimir Putin, must be punished for these crimes. Olena Kondratyuk expressed hope that the parliaments of other countries will vote for the creation of an international tribunal to investigate Russia's crimes against Ukraine.
