Anna Tkachenko, the spokeswoman for the police in the Zaporizhia region, told Suspilny that the number of victims has increased.
As of 9 o'clock in the morning, 12 people were killed as a result of the shelling of Zaporizhzhia on October 6.
The State Emergency Service wrote earlier that as of the morning of October 7, emergency and rescue operations are ongoing at the site of destroyed residential buildings as a result of rocket strikes on October 6
At one address, 8 dead people were unblocked from under the rubble of a five-story residential building, 6 people were rescued, 5 of whom were hospitalized.
At another address, three dead people were unblocked from under the rubble of a four-story residential building, 15 people were rescued, of whom 8 were hospitalized.
A total of 21 people were saved, 12 people died.
As of 07:00, 45 people and 12 units were involved in the work, techniques of emergency medical services, as well as 5 units of utility equipment.
