Tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus may become Putin's last argument in war with Ukraine
Belarusian journalist Natalia Radina believes Putin may use tactical nuclear weapons deployed in Belarus against Ukraine
She expressed this opinion on Espreso TV channel.
According to Radina, Belarus has reported the preparation of a site for deploying Russian tactical nuclear weapons and the readiness of Su-25 aircraft capable of carrying such weapons. These actions by the Belarusian and Russian regimes are directed towards Europe, particularly EU countries that share a border with Belarus.
The journalist also speculated that Putin might resort to using nuclear weapons in case of defeat in the war with Ukraine. Lukashenko could use tactical nuclear weapons to demand the lifting of economic sanctions from the West, which his regime fears. Moreover, nuclear weapons in Belarus might become Putin's last resort in the war with Ukraine. The Lukashenko and Putin regimes are apprehensive about a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army and might use tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine as a primary target.
