Russia "announces" missile strike on children's institution in Ukraine
Russia claims that Ukraine is allegedly preparing a "staged Russian missile attack" on a children's institution at the behest of the United States. The Center for Countering Disinformation explains that this is a tactic by Russia aimed at spreading panic among Ukrainians
The Center for Countering Disinformation reported the information.
“Such Russian fake news is outright disinformation that has nothing to do with reality and may indicate that the enemy (Russia - ed.) is preparing further attacks on civilian targets. The enemy is trying to sow panic among Ukrainians, to create division and distrust in our (Ukrainian - ed.) society and to justify its own crimes,” the statement said.
The Center emphasizes that Russia is trying to accuse Ukraine of war crimes committed by its army.
“Despite the numerous evidences, Russian propaganda stubbornly calls the massacres of civilians in Bucha and other Ukrainian cities under occupation a “provocation and staging”, and the missile attack on the children's hospital Okhmatdyt a ‘hit by an anti-missile of the Kyiv air defense system.’” the material reminds.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service announced that Kyiv, “at the behest of the United States,” was allegedly preparing a missile attack on a Ukrainian children's institution to accuse Russia.
Russia’s intelligence service added that the United States “wants to increase pressure on the DPRK and Iran by accusing these countries of supplying ballistic missiles to Russia with the help of a new provocation by Kyiv.”
