Russia aims to destroy Pokrovsk's infrastructure — 59th Separate Infantry Brigade
Serhiy Tsehotskyi, an officer with the 59th Brigade, noted that for over a week, Russian forces have been attempting to bypass Pokrovsk and attack the flanks
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“The situation in the Pokrovsk direction is tense but under control. Over the past day, September 15, Russian troops made 10 assault attempts on the 59th Brigade's positions, there were 160 drone drops, and a slightly higher number of attacks on Ukrainian lines. Just imagine the constant horror on the battlefield,” commented an officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.
According to him, Russian troops are constantly conducting reconnaissance along the entire front line in search of weaknesses in Ukrainian defense.
“Now the Russian aggressors are targeting Pokrovsk's infrastructure by destroying overpasses. This tactic—destroy and then attempt to advance—has always been part of their strategy. For over a week, the Russians have been trying to bypass Pokrovsk and attack the flanks to the north and south, where they have concentrated their most powerful forces. The occupiers are primarily focusing on breaking through Ukrainian defenses with infantry, using small infantry groups. Our task is to detect and destroy these groups, which is exactly what we are doing,” summarized Tsehotskyi.
