Russian forces hit Luhansk region with rockets, fire from aviation, artillery, mortars
On July 21, Russian forces have used artillery 5 times, mortars twice, and launched two air and missile strikes in the Luhansk region.
Luhansk regional military administration head, Sergiy Gaidai, shared the news in his Telegram channel.
According to him, Russian forces are pushing from almost every occupied settlement of the Luhansk region.
"During July 21, they launched two rockets and two airstrikes, carried out five artillery shells and two more - with the use of mortars. With constant fire influence, they want to move our fighters from the fortifications and at the same time put psychological pressure on the local population. Air strikes on villages located on the very administrative border of Luhansk region and Donetsk region", Sergiy Gaidai noted.
Sometimes Russian forces manage to get close enough to the Ukrainian positions to use the tank reserve, as happened near Verkhnokamyanka. Fighting is constantly going on near this settlement, because the Russians are trying to cross the administrative border of the Luhansk region.
On July 21, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to stop an enemy assault from the territory of the Lysychansk Oil Refinery. Russian troops suffered losses and retreated.
"Russian forces are throwing all their reserves into battle, they are going into combat reconnaissance, they do not spare drones. Do they realize which 'Motherland' they are fighting for: for 'LPR', 'DPR' or Russia? Maybe for a new car for their parents? For the last day, almost every village and city where the enemy's weapons could currently reach was shelled with barrel and rocket artillery," the regional head emphasized.
