Ukrainian forces carry out combat missions near Krynky: update on Kherson sector
Across the entire operational area of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, the Kherson sector is the hottest. Ukrainian Defense forces continue their combat missions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, particularly near the village of Krynky
Captain Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, stated this in a comment to the Krym.Realii project.
He said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are carrying out combat missions near the village of Krynky in the Kherson region and on nearby islands. Lykhoviy also reported that the village has been "almost completely destroyed."
"The positions held by Ukrainian forces in Krynky have been entirely demolished due to heavy and sustained Russian shelling and air strikes. The village itself is almost entirely ruined. It is no longer possible to defend or fortify the area. Therefore, Ukrainian defenders have moved to other designated positions and strongholds, including on the left bank of the Dnipro River,” Lykhoviy said.
According to him, the Kherson sector is the hottest area within the operational zone of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops. He noted that Russian attacks occur there daily.
“There are relatively more attacks in this sector compared to other parts of our combat line, though they number about three or four per day, sometimes two. Occasionally, there might be up to a dozen. While the intensity has decreased somewhat, Russian attempts to advance to these positions continue but remain unsuccessful,” he explained.
