Russian forces intensify offensive actions in two directions - Ukraine's General Staff

Ukraine's General Staff reported the information.

Border settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to face shelling from the territory of Russia. Five settlements - Studenok, Novovasylivka, Slavhorod, Velyka Pysarivka, and Oleksandrivka - were hit by Russian mortar attacks.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, from the direction of the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino, Russian forces launched 13 air strikes using 28 aerial guided bombs. They targeted the areas of the Ukrainian settlements of Vesele, Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Staritsa, Vovchansky Khutory, Ruska Lozova, and Pytomnyk.

In addition, in the Kharkiv sector, the Russian army launched four unsuccessful attacks near Hlyboke and two attacks near Vovchansk, where one firefight is currently underway. The situation is under control.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia made five assault attacks near Stelmakhivka, Petropavlivka, and Stepova Novoselivka. One battle is over, and four more are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the occupying Russian army attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 10 times near the settlements of Makiivka and Nevske, as well as in the area of Serebryansky forest. Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian attacks, and four are still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked five times near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Mykolaivka during the day. Russian forces were defeated there.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian army carried out eight assault operations near Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Maiske, and Hryhorivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled six attacks, and two more are ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces also attacked eight times near Zalizne, New York, and Pivnichne. Five battles are over, and three are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia carried out assault operations near Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Novoselivka Persha, Paraskoviivka, Novozhelanne, and Yasnobrodivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russia's offensive and have repelled 18 attacks; nine engagements are ongoing. Russia's losses are being clarified.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Russian army attacked 14 times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviivka. Ten battles were completed, and four are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, three Russian attacks near Velyka Novosilka are currently underway. Ukrainian defenders repelled another ten attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, and Rozdolne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia tried to break through the Ukrainian defense near Mala Tokmachka, Yurkivka, Novoandriivka, and Shcherbaky. Two attacks were repelled, and two more are ongoing.

Russia was unsuccessful in the Prydniprovskyi sector, attacking Ukrainian defenses on the left bank of the Dnipro River three times.

The situation in other areas of the front did not change significantly.
