Ukrainian forces prevent Russian army from approaching Lyptsi in Kharkiv region
Kyrylo Duchko, staff sergeant with the 13th Brigade’s public relations service, says that despite the superior Russian forces, Ukrainian troops aren't allowing them to approach Lyptsi
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the Kharkiv sector is difficult but stable. The soldiers of our brigade control and hold the occupied lines. Now our military is doing everything possible to prevent the invading Russian troops from reaching the village of Lyptsi. This settlement is strategic for the enemy. Therefore, they are trying to conduct offensive actions towards Lyptsi," said Duchko.
According to the serviceman, the Russians continue to amass forces in the Kharkiv sector.
"I cannot provide information on the number of Russian forces. However, we do observe the accumulation of enemy forces in the area of our brigade's responsibility. The Russian army does not give up hope of reaching the borders of the village of Lyptsi. In 2022, the territory of the settlement was occupied and Russia was able to shell Saltivka and the ring road near Kharkiv with cannon artillery. However, we are always ready to fight back, despite the enemy's superiority in personnel," he added.
- On July 9, Sarantsev said that the Russian army had concentrated its greatest efforts in the areas of Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Morokhovets, and Krasno in the Kharkiv region.
