Russia concentrates efforts near five settlements in Kharkiv region - Kharkiv troop grouping
The Russian army has concentrated its greatest efforts in the areas of Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Morokhovets, Krasne and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region
This was reported by Vitaliy Sarantsev, a spokesman for the Kharkiv Operational and Tactical troop grouping, during the United News telethon.
According to him, these areas are currently the most frequently affected by hostilities.
"First of all, these are the areas near Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Morokhovets, Krasne and Vovchansk. The enemy has concentrated most of its efforts there, and most often hostilities are taking place there," Sarantsev said.
He also said that the situation in Vovchansk is quite complicated, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are responding asymmetrically to Russian troops' actions.
"These are unexpected, non-standard actions of our troops to deter the enemy and destroy its manpower, equipment and weapons. If the enemy uses UAVs, we use high-precision technologies with artificial intelligence, long-range reconnaissance, electronic warfare equipment to destroy the enemy's unmanned aerial vehicles. We use remote reconnaissance to detect enemy movements in advance and, accordingly, destroy their manpower," the spokesman said.
Sarantsev emphasised that Russia is constantly trying to change its tactics and is looking for new ways to bypass the positions of Ukrainian defenders. He added that the Russian army is using frontal attacks and small assault groups.
- Earlier, on July 29, Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Ivan Sirko, said that active fighting was continuing in the Kharkiv region.
