Radio Liberty and hromadske report.
The journalists in question are Diana Butsko, Olesia Borovyk, and Nick Walsh, a correspondent for the American TV channel CNN. The media traveled to the Russian town of Sudzha in the Kursk region and filmed a report there.
The FSB opened a criminal case on illegal crossing of the Russian border. The sanction of this article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
They added that the journalists would soon be put on the international wanted list.
Journalist Diana Butsko's response
Correspondent Diana Butsko responded to the FSB's statement and said that she sees it as pressure on independent journalism and a desire to hide the truth in the territories where hostilities are ongoing.
"In our work at hromadske, we have always been guided by the principles of journalistic ethics and will continue to cover the war impartially but honestly. I understand that Russian security forces and their bots do not like this view, as they have written a lot of threats these days," Butsko said.
