Russia attacks in 9 frontline areas: most active in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove directions

There have been 58 combat engagements on the Russian-Ukrainian front since the start of the day on September 11. Russian forces are most active in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions

This is stated in the General Staff's report on September 11.

Russian troops continue to use aircraft and artillery in the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In particular, the areas of dozen settlements came under artillery fire.

In addition, Russian army launched numerous air strikes, dropping a total of 14 aerial bombs.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units twice in the areas of Hatyshche and Tykhy, and the fighting is still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian enemy attacked Ukrainian positions six times. The attacks were repelled near Lozova and Hlushkivka, and fighting continues near Synkivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russia attacked in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, Hrekivka, Druzhelyubivka and Tverdokhlibove. In total, there have been nine combat engagements in this sector since the beginning of the day, three of them are still ongoing. The situation is under control, according to the General Staff.

Three Russian attacks took place in the Toretsk sector. The enemy attacked in the areas of Toretsk and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have made 16 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zelenyi Pole, Novooleksandrivka, Hrodivka, Novotroitske, Novohrodivka, Selidove and Mykhailivka. The Defence Forces of Ukraine are holding back the enemy's attack and have repelled 13 attacks, with three battles still ongoing. The enemy is most active near Novotroitske and Mykhailivka. Oleksandropil was attacked with unguided aerial missiles from attack aircraft.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian enemy attacked our units 14 times since the beginning of the day. They tried to advance near Kostiantynivka, Ukrayinske and Heorhiivka. Eight battles are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, three Russian assaults towards Vuhledar were repelled.

In the Orikhiv sector, in the area of Mala Tokmachka, Russian forces tried to advance twice without success, but were fiercely repulsed. The enemy also launched a missile attack on Dniprovske.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, four attacks by the Russian invaders were unsuccessful.

  • On the evening of September 10, the Russian occupation army launched several groups of attack drones into the territory of Ukraine. In the Kyiv region, the defenders of the sky managed to eliminate all air targets.
