Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren says that the next meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense will be held on April 26

This is stated on the website of the EU Council.

"This Friday, we will have a meeting in the Ramstein format," said Ollongren.

She emphasized that Putin can be stopped in Ukraine now by helping Kyiv with weapons, ammunition, and financial support. According to her, everyone should participate in this.

The minister added that the Netherlands is participating in a number of initiatives proposed by European partners, including the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine and the German initiative to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

"These initiatives are opportunities to do more (for Ukraine - ed.) in a short period of time," said Ollongren.

  • The previous 19th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (so-called Ramstein format) was held online on February 14. The meeting discussed, among other things, strengthening air defense, artillery systems, and drones.
