Ukraine loses some positions near Kurakhove, says military command

Khortytsia operational strategic troop grouping reports.

Russian assault groups attempted to penetrate defense positions in the urban areas of Kurakhove and in the vicinity of Dalne, Dachne, and Uspenivka.

"Certain defense positions have been lost. The enemy continues to amass forces for further attacks," stated the Khortytsia grouping.

• The OSINT project DeepState also reported on December 24 that Russian forces had captured Makarivka in the Vremivka sector, as well as Sukhi Yaly and Zelenivka near Kurakhove.
