This was reported by the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko.

"Unfortunately, the number of wounded has increased to 16 people, including four children," he wrote.

The National Police of Ukraine reported that the Russian troops fired an Iskander-K missile at Zaporizhzhia.

"At 7:20 p.m., the enemy again insidiously attacked the city. An enemy Iskander-K missile hit a civilian infrastructure facility," the statement reads.

According to the police, the Russian invaders fired a missile at a public recreation area. As a result of the hit, cars parked near the epicenter of the explosion caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

The blast wave and wreckage also partially destroyed a civilian infrastructure facility.

According to Anatoliy Kurtiev, Secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council, a three-year-old child was among the victims, who was hospitalized, and now being under the care of doctors and the parents. The child's condition is not serious.

Anatoliy Kurtiev provided information on the number of casualties at 9:35 p.m.

"We know about 11 victims. One person is in serious condition," he wrote.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the attack on Zaporizhzhia on his Telegram channel: "Zaporizhzhia. The city suffers daily from strikes by the occupiers. A fire broke out after a Russian missile hit a civilian building. As of now, we know about one dead person. My condolences. There are wounded. All services are on the ground. They are working, saving people. Every soldier who destroys the invaders, who goes forward and leads the way, who liberates Ukrainian land, brings justice to Ukraine. It brings retribution closer. Ukraine will stand. Russian terror will inevitably lose."

As of 8:22 p.m., Kurtiev informed that nine people had been injured in the Russian shelling. In addition, two high-rise buildings, a medical and an educational institution were damaged.

Earlier, he said that one person was killed and five people were injured.

As of 7:49 p.m., two people were reported injured.

"People in moderate condition were taken to a medical facility," Kurtiev wrote.

Earlier, Kurtiev said that Russian troops had struck a civilian infrastructure facility, which caused a fire.

"A fire broke out at the site of the strike. Unfortunately, there are victims. The information is being clarified," the statement said.

Relevant services are working at the site of the attack.
