Austin noted that several countries have pledged aid to Ukraine for 2025. Following this, he revealed a $500 million U.S. military aid package.
This package includes additional missiles for Ukraine's air defense, more shells, air-to-ground missiles, and other equipment to support Ukrainian F-16s.
Austin stated that their joint efforts needed to continue, emphasizing that Ukraine’s fight was important to everyone. He recalled saying at the first Ramstein meeting that they all shared the responsibility to ensure imperial aggression did not prevail over free and sovereign nations.
- On April 20, 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a historic $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
- On November 15, Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh confirmed that U.S. President Joe Biden plans to utilize all congressionally allocated funds for Ukraine before the January 20 inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.
- On December 18, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said the military aid already provided — and planned — by Biden's administration is designed to meet the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ needs for weapons, equipment, and materials through the end of 2025.
