Russian invaders keep trying to encircle Avdiivka, but Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line and inflicting significant losses on the terrorists: 820 militants per day

Ukraine's General Staff has reported on November 15 that the total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 2022, to November 15, 2023 are estimated at

General Staff: Russian army keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka

According to the General Staff, in the area near the Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted assault operations in the areas of Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, where Ukrainian troops repelled 8 attacks.

In the Lyman sector, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Nadiia and Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 Russian attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The Defense Forces are also continuing assault operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy continues to try to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. The Russian Federation's offensive in the areas of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Sievierne, Tonenke, Vodiane and east of Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region was unsuccessful. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 17 attacks there.

In the Marinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian troops repelled 20 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian troops are engaged in counter-battery combat, pushing the enemy back from coastal firing positions, and targeting enemy rear areas.


Russia has launched 8 missile strikes and 59 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine

Over 60 combat engagements took place over the past day.

In total, the enemy launched 8 missile strikes and 59 air strikes and fired 49 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Air strikes were carried out on 3 settlements in Kharkiv region; Pishchane, Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk region; 11 settlements in Donetsk region;

Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region; Novoberyslav and Beryslav in Kherson region.

More than 140 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed a Su-25 fighter and 17 enemy reconnaissance UAVs

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 10 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment. Air defense forces and means also destroyed a Su-25 attack aircraft, 2 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs, 17 reconnaissance UAVs and one Kh-59 guided missile.

The missile troops destroyed 6 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, a command center, 17 artillery pieces at firing positions, 3 air defense systems and an enemy fuel and lubricant depot.
