Putin will avoid announcing general mobilization, realizes he will not be able to cope - Mark Feigin
Russian opposition activist Mark Feigin believes that Putin did not dare mobilize, choosing instead to rely on private military companies. Now the Kremlin has started to involve convicts in Russian correctional facilities
He expressed this opinion on the air of the program "Studio Zahid with Antin Borkovsky" on the TV channel "Espresso".
"Putin does not want to announce a general mobilization, because there really is some kind of agreement: You do not move us, we do not prevent you from ruling. Putin understands this, because breaking this agreement would mean that these people will desert. There will be social tension that it is not known how to overcome . Of course, those who volunteer are willing to risk for those 200 thousand a month, but there are people who simply do not want to die. Therefore, Putin will avoid announcing a general mobilization, realizing that this is a tension that he may not be able to cope with, but he will find opportunities to replenish human resources," Fagin explained.
The politician noted that they are trying to throw Ukrainian citizens like cannon fodder in the occupied territories.
"In Donbas, for example, there is a mobilization going on. They first threw conscripts into the theater of military operations, at the beginning of March, in February they were there. But slowly they began to withdraw from it, because they are afraid of indignation and tension from relatives, parents. Because this is business not for conscripts, what kind of special military operation is this, where the forces of ordinary citizens called up for military service must be used," he added.
