Putin is desperate, he has no confidence left
The state of political health of Russian President Vladimir Putin is very bad, and he does not know how and what to talk about.
The diplomat and former Ambassador of Ukraine to Russia, Volodymyr Yelchenko, said this on Espreso TV.
"I think that the state of Putin's political health is very bad. It can be seen from the picture. He is in despair. It is clear - there is no fire in his speeches that was before. I feel that he does not know how and what to talk about. He looks very insecure, I don't remember him like that. I was present at dozens of negotiations - he was always this kind of Russian tsar," he said.
According to Yelchenko, Putin does not have this confidence now.
"Even in the footage from the exercises with Shoigu and Gerasimov, it was clear that this trio feels very insecure. This is the result of the adventure they have unleashed. They themselves do not know how to get out of it. The signal of the Russian ambassador to the UN regarding readiness for negotiations - they already understand that they will not achieve anything on the battlefield. They need some kind of pause," the diplomat said.
He noted that Ukrainians should not think that it will benefit them.
"They need a break to regroup, gather their strength again, carry out some kind of mobilization, and do what they have planned. And we know very well that this idea is the complete destruction of Ukraine, so that they don't say anything," Yelchenko concluded.
