Poroshenko: Attacks on energy facilities are act of genocide in Putin's style
Petro Poroshenko said on air of the Italian TV channel Sky TG24 that attacks on civilian energy facilities in Ukraine are another act of genocide by Putin.
"The situation is definitely disturbing. This is another act of genocide, because innocent civilians throughout Ukraine, in Kyiv, remain without electricity, without water, without heating. And there is no explanation why Putin is doing this. Imagine - there is no heating and light in hospitals, in schools, in kindergartens. This is Putin's style of war," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
"Putin cannot attack our troops on the front lines. Therefore, using Iranian drones, he begins to attack the Ukrainian civilian population. This is not Russia's war against Ukraine. This is Russia's war, Iran's war, Belarus' war against the entire Western civilized world. We must understand: if we don't stop Putin, no one knows where Russian missiles will be launched tomorrow - at Italy, Germany, Great Britain or the United States," the fifth president of Ukraine noted.
"Therefore, it is extremely important that governments around the world, including the Italian government, take a new and important initiative to supply new weapons, especially anti-aircraft and anti-missile weapons, which have saved many Ukrainian lives. We are very grateful to the Italian people, the Italian parliament and the Italian government ", Poroshenko says.
He also emphasized once again: "It is better to sit in the dark and cold, without light or without heating, than to be Russian slaves. This is our movement towards freedom and democracy. And no one can stop us."
