This was reported by the press service of the regional police.

Thus, since June 8, more than 38 thousand local residents and about 9 thousand internally displaced persons have been without drinking water in Pokrov.

Local authorities have organized the delivery of drinking water to the distribution points. For those who are unable to come to collect water, the police deliver it to their homes.

"On June 9, officers of the Nikopol District Police Department No. 2 visited more than 250 people in the city and villages of the Pokrov community. In total, during the day, they delivered and handed over almost 800 liters of bottled drinking water to the residents," the police reports.

In the Nikopol area, according to Yevhen Yevtushenko, the head of the district administration, the situation with water is difficult, especially for Tomakivka, Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove communities.

According to Serhii Lysak, the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, water utilities in Marhanets have started to shut down.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of Kryvyi Rih's military administration, said that 70% of the city's residents may face water problems in the near future. Kakhovka water has stopped flowing into the Southern Reservoir. Most of the city consumes water from the Southern Reservoir and only 30% from the Karachunivskyi Reservoir. Therefore, Vilkul urged the citizens to save water as much as possible. According to his estimates, the water in the Southern Reservoir will last for a month and a half at most. During this time, the authorities expect to work out a solution to further supply Kryvyi Rih with water.
