Russia is concentrating its main efforts in Pokrovsk sector – NGU spokesman
Ruslan Muzychuk, spokesman for the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU), noted that a significant number of artillery and air attacks are occurring in the Pokrovsk sector, as Russia attempts to use these strikes to create favorable conditions for advancing its infantry
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Units of the National Guard of Ukraine are carrying out tasks along the entire front line, particularly in areas where the enemy is focusing its main efforts. Pokrovsk has been the most active area over the past day, with the enemy concentrating its primary efforts in this sector. Over 40 combat clashes occurred here, and National Guard servicemen successfully repelled nine hostile assault attempts," emphasized Colonel Ruslan Muzychuk.
According to the National Guard spokesperson, no significant changes in the nature of Russia's actions have been observed in the Pokrovsk direction.
“The Russians continue to carry out assaults with small infantry groups of two to four people. Sometimes larger units may be involved for reinforcement, but the general trend remains the same. There is a large number of artillery and air attacks, with the help of which the enemy is trying to create conditions for the advance of its infantry and assaults,” noted Muzychuk.
The National Guard spokesman also added that Russian troops are using aviation, using UAVs to strike both positions and populated areas.
- Since the beginning of Monday, September 30, there have been 189 combat clashes between the two armies at the front. In total, Russia dropped 128 KABs during the day.
- Journalist Natalia Biriukova noted that about 14,000 people still live in Pokrovsk.
