Situation in Pokrovsk: Russia seeks to deprive city of gas and electricity, attacks with bombs and artillery
Journalist Natalia Biriukova noted that about 14,000 people still live in Pokrovsk
She shared the information on Espreso TV.
“The Russians are continuously attacking Pokrovsk with FABs, KABs, and artillery. The sounds are entirely different from rockets — first, there’s a whistling, followed by a rumbling. Few people are left in the city; I rarely see anyone walking around unless absolutely necessary. However, according to official reports, about 14,000 people remain in Pokrovsk. The city continues to function, but life is becoming significantly more challenging than it was a month ago, as the front lines are very close and shelling persists,” Biriukova stated.
According to the journalist, Russia is trying to leave Pokrovsk without gas and electricity, and is destroying sewage stations.
“It's all so complicated now that it's getting harder and harder to maintain the usual services for the city. There are no sewage rivers in the city yet. There is still an opportunity for the utility companies to do something so that the citizens can live in this city as they are used to and decide to leave. People will be leaving the city in the near future,” emphasized Biriukova.
- Since the beginning of Monday, September 30, 189 combat clashes have taken place at the front between the two armies. In total, Russia dropped 128 KABs during the day.
