At least 14 Shahed drones fly into Belarus during Russian attack on November 22
Starting from six in the morning on November 22, at least 14 flights of Russian self-detonating Shahed drones to Belarus from Ukraine and Russia were recorded
This was reported by the monitoring group Belarusian Hajun.
It is noted that the drones passed through the ‘Belarusian corridor’, flew in from Russia, and entered the direction of Bragin, Yelsk and Gomel.
According to the monitoring group, the first approach was at 06:10. The drone flew in from the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation towards the town of Kruhovets-Kalinino, Gomel region. Then the Shahed drones came in at 06:38, 07:49, 08:06, 08:07, 08:31, 08:39, 08:46, 09:09, 10:48, 11:18, 12:15, 13:06 and 13:57.
At 07:49, the strike UAV flew into Belarus near Loiev and continued on a north-westerly course. At 08:06, it reached Rychytsia and continued to move towards Zhlobin.
‘At the same time, another fighter jet of the Belarusian Air Force was taken off from the Baranovichi airfield, which headed to the area of Richitsa and flew in the southeast of the country for almost 2 hours,’ the monitoring group added.
They also noted that some monitoring groups wrote that, according to preliminary data, at least one UAV was shot down in Belarus. However, there is currently no confirmation of the downing of the Shahed over Belarus, and the data continues to be clarified, Hajun writes.
‘In total, 8 out of 14 drones have been confirmed to have returned to Ukraine's airspace from Belarus. Some UAVs could have been lost in Belarus,’ the statement said.
- On the night of October 20, at least three Russian Shahed drones flew into the territory of Belarus from Ukraine. One of the drones was shot down by air defense over the Yelsk district of Belarus.
- News
