118 combat clashes reported at front today, with Russian forces most active in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Vremivka sectors

Since the start of November 22, 118 combat engagements have been recorded at the front. The Russian army has been most active in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Vremivka sectors

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.

"Throughout the day, several towns in Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions were hit by Russian shelling. The Russian army  fired artillery at Bleshnia, Oleksandriia, Tymofiivka, Turia, Obody, and Zhuravka," the General Staff said.

On November 22, Russian troops launched four airstrikes in the Kursk region and dropped four guided aerial bombs. Ukrainian troops are holding off Russian attacks, with 19 attacks recorded so far.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk twice.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces tried to advance on Ukrainian positions near Zelenyi Hai throughout the day, with one firefight taking place there.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops launched 12 attacks, with fighting near Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Torske, and Terny. One firefight is still ongoing. Russian bombers also struck near Ivanivka.

In the Siversk sector, the Russian army carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on Bilohorivka, Zakitne, and Siversk.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces are repelling an attack by Russian troops near Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia attacked three times near Toretsk. Two attacks were repelled, and one battle is still ongoing.

High Russian activity continues in the Pokrovsk sector. Clashes of varying intensity started 29 times today in Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pustynka, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Petrivka, and Pushkine. Five firefights are still ongoing in Myroliubivka, Sukhyi Yar, Petrivka, and Pustynka.

The situation remains tense in the Kurakhove sector, where Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks near Berestky, Sontsivka, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Katerynivka, Romanivka, and Antonivka. Ten more battles are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia is trying to attack Ukrainian positions near Trudove, Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Sukhi Yaly, and Novodarivka. Fourteen attacks have been repelled, with nine still ongoing. Russia also carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on Velyka Novosilka and Novyi Komar.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three Russian attacks. Kozatske was hit by an airstrike.

  • The occupying Russian army lost 1,050 servicemen over the day of the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense forces destroyed 5 Russian artillery systems and one air defense system.
