Russian forces launch 80 attacks on Ukrainian position in one day - General Staff
Since the start of Monday, September 30, there have been 80 combat engagements along the frontline, with Russian troops continuing to shell Russia's Kursk region
Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.
"The situation on the front line remains tense. Ukrainian defenders are actively countering the Russian aggressor, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment,” the statement said.
In total, 80 combat engagements have occurred since the beginning of the day. Border settlements in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions are still suffering from shelling from Russian territory. Areas such as Stukalivka, Bobylivka, Vidrodzhenivske, Tymofiivka, Novodmytrivka, Malushyne, Svoboda, Obody, Brusky, and Velyka Pysarivka have been hit by cannon artillery and MLRS fire.
Additionally, Russia launched air strikes in the areas of Studenok, Kucherivka, and Budivelne, deploying seven guided aerial bombs. The Russians have also bombed the Kursk region of Russia, conducting nine strikes with twelve guided aerial bombs.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces launched seven unsuccessful attacks on the defensive lines of Ukrainian units near Burhuvatka, Starytsia, and Vovchansk, with two engagements still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled five Russian attacks near Synkivka, Novoosynove, Hlushkivka, and Vyshneve, while two additional firefights are ongoing near Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman sector, the invading army conducted 14 attacks near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Dibrova, Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and within the Serebrianskyi forest. Ten of these engagements have concluded, with four still in progress. Russia used aviation in the Serebrianskyi forest area, dropping more than 60 unguided missiles.
Additionally, Russia launched two offensives in the Siversk sector near Verkhniokamianske and Bilohorivka, both of which were repelled by Ukrainian forces. They also conducted an air strike in the Siversk area, dropping six aerial bombs.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian army, supported by aviation, launched two assaults on Ukrainian troops' positions near Chasiv Yar. One battle has concluded, while the other is still ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, there were ten hostile attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Zalizne, Nelipivka, and Shcherbynivka. The aggressor also conducted an air strike on Kostiantynivka, using three aerial bombs.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops have made 13 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Novotoretske, Sukha Balka, Mykolaivka, Selydove, and Mykhailivka since the start of the day. Ukrainian forces have repelled seven Russian attacks, but six combat engagements are still ongoing. Russia's losses are currently being assessed.
In the Kurakhove sector, Russian troops conducted eight unsuccessful attacks near Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka, and launched an airstrike in the Shevchenko area using four guided aerial bombs.
In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled six Russian attacks near Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, and Zolota Nyva. Russian forces also carried out airstrikes near Novodonetske, Tamarivka, Novodarivka, and Bohoiavlenka, dropping a total of 21 bombs.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russia made one unsuccessful attack on Ukrainian defenders. At the same time, the Russians are conducting air strikes and artillery attacks on Ukrainian troops and localities. A total of 10 unguided aerial missiles and 7 guided aerial bombs were used in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Piatykhatky, and Veselianka.
So far, no Russian attacks have been recorded in the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi directions.

Over the past day, the invading Russian army lost a number of units of its equipment and about 1,250 troops at the front.
