Russia's stockpile of long-range missiles is massive, says Ukrainian intelligence
Russian occupation forces still hold a significant stockpile of long-range missiles and can produce new ones using foreign components
Andrii Yusov, a representative of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, shared this in an interview with Novyny.LIVE.
According to him, Russia currently has about 1,400 long-range missiles in reserve, including 350 Kalibrs, 500 Onyx missiles, 50 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, over 130 Iskander short-range ballistic missiles, and more than 400 Kh-101, Kh-35, and Kh-55 missiles.
“However, many of these are untouchable reserves. That’s why they focus heavily on planning and intelligence, and no longer act as recklessly as they did in the early stages of the full-scale invasion,” Yusov noted.
A representative of the Ukrainian military intelligence also added that Russia is capable of producing 40 to 50 Iskander missiles, 30 to 50 Kalibrs, and about 50 Kh-101 missiles per month.
“This production critically depends on foreign components. Therefore, strengthening sanctions and ensuring their enforcement is a crucial task that Ukraine and its partners are working on,” Yusov emphasized.
- Defense Express development director Valerii Riabykh says that Russia is trying to expand its medium-range missile production capacity. Russians are capable of producing 25 Oreshnik-type missiles per year.
