Russia accumulates resources for powerful offensive — Information Resistance group
Oleksandr Kovalenko, military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, noted that a large-scale and desperate new wave of Russia's offensive in certain areas of the front may take place in February
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"The adversary will continue to advance in the Avdiivka area. And we can now observe phenomena that indicate this. The Russian command is using mainly the units of the 1st Army Corps near Avdiivka, which are the so-called DPR's mobilization units. In this case, regular troops, which are the most combat-ready, do not appear as often during the fighting. This means that this resource is being saved," noted the military and political observer of the Information Resistance group.
According to him, compared to 2023, at the beginning of 2024, Russia's group operating in the Avdiivka area increased from 40,000 personnel to 45,000.
"I would say that the main wave, not only large-scale but also desperate, is still ahead. It will take place in February, when the enemy has accumulated the appropriate resource. The Russian army will also continue their assaults in the left-bank Kherson region in the direction of Krynky. They will not stop there, just as they did in the Zaporizhzhia region, and will try to regain control of the positions near Verbove, Prokopivka, and Robotyne. There are also fears of renewed offensives in the direction of Vuhledar. There had been expectations that Russia could launch this offensive before the new year, but it did not. No matter how cynical it may sound, it would be better if they started this offensive before the new year, because we can now observe such a delay, which means that the enemy is accumulating resources for a more powerful offensive. So, they are really planning to resolve the issue with Vuhledar in the first quarter of 2024," Oleksandr Kovalenko summarized.
