Ukraine's army eliminates 830 Russian soldiers, 12 tanks and 15 artillery systems per day - General Staff

Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian attacks at the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Zaporizhzhia directions over the past day, and eliminate 830 Russian troops

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to January 11, 24 are approximately as follows:

  • personnel - about 367,620 (+830) people.
  • tanks - 6,050 (+12) 
  • armored combat vehicles - 11,238 (+22) 
  • artillery systems - 8,699 (+15)
  • MLRS - 957 (+1) 
  • air defense systems - 641 (+2) 
  • aircraft - 329 (+0)

  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6,834 (+0) 
  • cruise missiles - 1,806 (+1)

General Staff report: 73 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the day

The operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 Russian attacks near Synkivka (Kharkiv region) in the Kupyansk sector, 6 attacks east of Terny and Vesele (Donetsk region) in the Lyman sector, and an attack near Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut sector.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders are deterring Russia's troops, who are trying to encircle the city. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 Russian attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, and Sievierne and another 15 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region over the past day.

In the Marinka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 16 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 Russian troops' attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson sector, the AFU keep expanding their foothold. Despite significant losses, the Russian troops are trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Thus, over the past day, the Russian forces conducted 11 unsuccessful assault operations.

Russian army launches 4 missile strikes, 48 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the last day, 73 combat engagements took place in the frontline. In total, the Russian army launched 4 missile strikes, 48 air strikes, and fired 36 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

6 settlements in the Kharkiv region; Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region; Terny, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region were hit by air strikes.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 2 Russian ammunition depots and an electronic warfare station

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 7 areas where Russian troops were concentrated. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed a Kh-59 guided missile.

Ukrainian missile troops struck 3 Russian concentration areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment, a command post, 2 ammunition depots and an electronic warfare station.

  • On Wednesday evening, January 10, explosions occurred near a hotel in Kharkiv. The number of victims increased to 11, including journalists from a Turkish publication.
