Ukraine sets up 36 working groups to prepare for EU membership negotiations
Ukraine has already formed 36 working groups to prepare negotiating positions on accession to the European Union in all clusters
"We are doing everything possible to make 2025 a turning point in our European integration path. From the political decision to start negotiations, we are moving to negotiations on specific clusters," said Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to Shmyhal, Ukraine has the necessary architecture for the negotiation process with the European Union. The government will continue screening Ukrainian legislation for compliance with European standards.
"Our task is to complete the negotiation process as quickly as possible," the Prime Minister emphasized.
After the Ukrainian government approved the plan for implementing the European Commission's recommendations on each negotiation chapter, the next step on the country's path to EU membership will be negotiations on Ukraine's EU accession, continuing until all negotiation clusters are closed. Following this, the European Commission will provide its assessment of Ukraine's readiness to join the EU.
