Ukraine may cease to exist in 2025, negotiations should be with U.S., says Putin's aide. Ukraine responds
Russian leader’s aide, Nikolai Patrushev, stated that negotiations regarding the war against Ukraine should take place between Russia and the U.S. The Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council responded
Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti reports that, according to Patrushev, negotiations on Ukraine should be held between Russia and the U.S., excluding other countries. He emphasized that Moscow has nothing to discuss with the UK or Belgium.
"Speaking about Ukraine's prospects, Patrushev did not rule out that by 2025, the country could cease to exist," the post states.
Center for Countering Disinformation’s response
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), wrote that Patrushev has "a fear of reality, which he subconsciously feels and which could be the salvation for Muscovy from a barbaric type of existence in the next 50 years. This fear leads him to believe in something that will not happen. Ukraine is and will be. But Russia must return to being Muscovy in the next 50 years.”
"Patrushev is a generator of random statements. He has failed everything he could have failed, including advising Putin on the 'Oreshnik' scarecrow, which ultimately did not work and failed to provide Russia with any trump cards against the West, not to mention his 'diplomatic' missions to the West on Putin's behalf. He's just a crazy old man, far removed from reality. Patrushev is afraid of the truth that in the next 50 years, the chances of a controlled division of the Russian Federation into national entities are extremely high, and more and more people will be interested in this," Kovalenko responded.
