Russian "court" sentences seven Ukrainian POWs involved in Kursk operation
The Second Western Military Court of Russia has delivered a verdict regarding Ukrainian prisoners of war accused of involvement in the Kursk operation
This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.
According to the report, under Russia's unlawful verdict, Anatolii Voloshyn, Volodymyr Arshulyk, Serhii Karaiev, Oleksandr Doichuk, Zinovii Siherych, Andrian Kulbaba, and Oleh Vovk were convicted. They were found guilty of "committing a terrorist act as part of a group with prior conspiracy, leading to severe consequences."
Russia claims that the Ukrainian prisoners of war allegedly "repeatedly opened fire on Russian servicemen and civilians, prohibited movement and the use of phone communication, and interfered with their evacuation." Russia sentenced the Ukrainian defenders to prison terms ranging from 15 to 16 years, with the first three years to be served in prison and the remainder in a high-security correctional facility.
