Germany's Defense Minister Pistorius makes unannounced visit to Kyiv
On the morning of Tuesday, January 14, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in the capital of Ukraine on an unannounced visit

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has arrived in Kyiv for talks with the Ukrainian government, the post states.
The minister's visit had not been previously announced for security reasons.
Pistorius plans to discuss continued support and assess the current military situation in Ukraine. He is also scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
In an interview with DPA in Kyiv, Germany's Defense Minister Pistorius stated that it was important for him to demonstrate through this trip that Germany continues to actively support Ukraine. He added that this signals that Germany, as the largest NATO country in Europe, stands by Ukraine, not alone, but together with five other countries and many other allies.
