Stuttgarter Zeitung reported the information.
Ambassador Makeiev symbolically accepted the first of the 54 planned howitzers. "Ukraine can rely on us, and this is a signal. Germany is ready to take responsibility in Europe," said Pistorius.
It was noted that six of the howitzers will remain in Germany for training Ukrainian troops.
For reference: The RCH 155 is a German self-propelled artillery system featuring a modern automated system. It fires 155mm shells at a range of up to 54 kilometers.
- On December 20, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that another IRIS-T air defense system was being delivered to Ukraine.
