According to the spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group, the Russian troops are trying to establish a foothold and advance on the Kupyansk direction. Accordingly, Ukrainian forces are actively working to clear the area.

"The situation remains tense. The battle for control over the plantations west of the Oskil River continues, with the Russians trying to hold their positions, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces are striving to drive the enemy out of these areas," Trehubov added.

• On January 14, the front saw 170 clashes. In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian forces launched 70 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions.
