Russia seeks to establish foothold, advance in Kupyansk direction - Khortytsia troop grouping
Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group, says that the Russian forces are trying to cross the Oskil River using boats
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The enemy is trying to infiltrate through the Oskil River in small groups. They use boats, attempting to seize the moment at night and concentrate forces in the thickets. Russian groups and boats are being destroyed with the help of drones," Trehubov noted.
According to the spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group, the Russian troops are trying to establish a foothold and advance on the Kupyansk direction. Accordingly, Ukrainian forces are actively working to clear the area.
"The situation remains tense. The battle for control over the plantations west of the Oskil River continues, with the Russians trying to hold their positions, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces are striving to drive the enemy out of these areas," Trehubov added.
