This was announced by Russian deputy Ksenia Torstrem on Twitter.
"We, the lawmakers of Russia, believe that the actions of President Vladimir Putin harm the future of Russia and its citizens. We demand the resignation of Vladimir Putin from the post of President of the Russian Federation," the text of the petition reads.
The Russian deputy also called on other lawmakers to sign this petition.
"Lawmakers of 18 different districts of Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kolpino are demanding Putin's resignation. The text of the petition is short, it does not 'discredit' anyone. If you are a member of parliament and want to join, you are welcome," Torstrem wrote.
