Kremlin responds to calls for full mobilization for war in Ukraine
The Russian leader's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has stated that mobilization is not on the agenda in Russia despite Ukraine's successes. He has also called on Russians to speak carefully about the war
This is reported by the Russian media with reference to the words of Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
On September 13, the Kremlin announced that they are not discussing a nationwide mobilization for strengthening in Ukraine, despite the growing pressure.
"For now, this is not being discussed," Peskov said.
The day before, propagandists wrote that Sheremet, a member of the State Duma (Russia's parliament), said that "full mobilization" is needed for victory. Also, the leader of the Communist Party, Zyuganov, said: "Most of all, we need the maximum mobilization of our forces and resources in order to win the war against the US, Europe, and NATO."
Regarding the statements of nationalist commentators, the press secretary replied that this is an example of "pluralism", and Russians in general continue to support President Putin.
"As for other, critical points of view, as long as they remain within the framework of the current legislation, this is pluralism. But the line is very thin. You have to be very careful here.
Russians support the president, and this is confirmed by the mood of the people... The people are consolidating around the decisions of the head of state," Peskov added.
