"It's getting much scarier. Russia has fallen another step down the road into the abyss" - Akunin on Putin's latest decisions

Russian writer Boris Akunin wrote about this on Telegram.

"On September 21, 2022, the Russian Federation descended another step leading to hell. The previous time something similar happened on February 24," a well-known Russian opposition writer noted. 

He notes that living conditions will change again on the new floor - it will become much scarier.

"I don't mean that sons, husbands, brothers, and parents will be sent to die in the name of preserving Putin's regime, but that mobilization will be possible only when the mechanism of repression is turned on at full capacity. With total intimidation, mass arrests, show massacres, and the complete closure of the country. This will not happen suddenly, but rather quickly. Unfortunately, it cannot be otherwise," Boris Akunin added. 

He reminds that during difficult trials the main thing is not to lose yourself and remember the old truth: the night is blackest before dawn.

"Those who left, let's get ready to help those who are in trouble," the writer concluded.
