Erdogan has important role as messenger conveying the West's collective unity with Ukraine to Putin - Volker

He shared this opinion with Espreso TV. 

"I think that the role of President Erdoğan is quite supportive, because grain exports have worked, so the Ukrainian economy has benefited from this, as well as the economies of other countries. We have also seen that Erdoğan tried to implement a similar grain mechanism to achieve peace. But now he will convey a clear message to Putin about what is the unity of the collective West with Ukraine, that is why Erdogan's role is important as a messenger", the diplomat said.

Kurt Volker noted that he does not consider any negotiations possible now, because Putin has resorted to all measures to destroy Ukrainians and annex as many territories as possible, so any peace negotiations that won't be in its favor are completely unacceptable for Ukraine.
