ATACMS missiles may play decisive role in operation to liberate Crimea – Defense Express
ATACMS missiles will definitely appear on the Ukrainian battlefield. They can play a crucial role in the operation in southern Ukraine and the liberation of the temporarily occupied Crimea
Valerii Riabykh, a military expert and Director for development at Defense Express Media and Consulting Company, said this on the Espreso TV channel.
According to him, this missile would allow keeping under fire control all logistical routes that can supply the grouping of troops both on the peninsula and in Ukraine.
"It seems to me that we are at a crucial moment when this decision can be made. The fact is that these systems are needed exactly when they are needed. Their arrival in Ukraine may be linked to the development of further events. They should become a kind of multiplier to ensure that the plans set by the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are implemented in the best possible way," said Valerii Riabykh.
Germany has made it clear that Taurus missiles will appear in Ukraine as soon as Atacms missiles are available in Ukraine.
"Not only the US can open a window of opportunity by making a decision on ATACAMS. Germany can also put pressure on the US to implement the plan to help Ukraine in the best possible way," the military expert stressed.
"No wonder the conversations at all levels have intensified. Including various information leaks through the media. This indicates that these processes are dynamic, and they are still ongoing," added the development director of the information and consulting company Defense Express.
According to him, another factor that will influence the decision-making of US and German politicians is the concrete results and implementation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' plans on the battlefield.
"Currently, the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces show such dynamics that meet the expectations of our allies," Ryabykh said.
