About Orban's scarf with century-old map
What dictated Hungary's blocking of effective EU sanctions against the Russian Federation on the one hand and the EUR 18 billion aid package to Ukraine on the other?
I wonder what the Hungarian ambassador said to our foreign ministry, explaining this flirting with imperialism on the part of not a simple citizen, but a politician of the EU and NATO member state? Such behavior, and especially amid Russia's attacks on the entire united Europe, cannot be ignored. It is time for all of Hungary's neighbors that share European values to jointly find a way to stop Budapest from playing along Moscow. I am sure that, if desired, such a mechanism can be found at the EU and NATO level as well, having secured the support of the leadership of the institutions, which now clearly emphasizes how important it is to return values to politics.
It is also necessary to give an honest answer to an important question: what dictated Hungary's blocking of effective EU sanctions against the Russian Federation on the one hand and the EUR 18 billion aid package to Ukraine on the other?
It is even more disgusting to try to solve internal problems by helping Ukraine, to help the Russians avoid responsibility and at the same time be part of the free world against which the Russians are fighting
During the NATO meeting in Madrid, they had frank discussions about this with their Hungarian colleagues. They demand to understand their, to put it mildly, strange arguments, but are very annoyed when we give ours - primarily moral ones.
At the cost of the lives of our best people, we defend the peace of all of Europe. It is disgusting not to see this and persuade us to believe in a parallel reality, when a real terrible war is going on nearby, where the fate of civilization is decided.
It is even more disgusting to try to solve internal problems by helping Ukraine, to help the Russians avoid responsibility and at the same time be part of the free world against which the Russians are fighting. This apparent inconsistency must finally be resolved.
