Russia launches at least 127 missiles, 109 UAVs at Ukraine: Zelenskyy holds meeting with top military command
On August 26, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff following a massive Russian attack. According to him, Russia has launched 127 missiles of various types and 109 drones at Ukraine
He wrote about this on Telegram.
"Meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. Restoration of energy after one of the largest Russian attacks. At least 127 missiles and 109 drones," the president wrote.
Thus, Zelenskyy heard reports from Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, and Ukrenergo CEO Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
During the meeting, the officials analyzed in detail the effectiveness of air defense and electronic warfare systems, mobile fire teams, and engineering defense, and made appropriate decisions.
"At the facilities themselves, we continue to eliminate the consequences, repair and demining. In some places, the terrorist state attacked civilian facilities with cluster munitions. The sappers have to work before the power engineers can start repairing them," Zelenskyy added.
According to him, the meeting also included a report by Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on the operational situation, in particular, the defense of Pokrovsk. The officials decided to further strengthen the area.
