Russians cultivate “torture culture”
Russian forces torturing their wartime enemies is a tradition that spans centuries and has been documented since records began, in full gruesome detail
These are absolutely savage people with openly sadistic tendencies. They derive pleasure from it, and it's not just a tactic to intimidate their opponents.
I once read on Wikipedia about the Polish-Bolshevik War of 1920, and among the illustrations was a photo of Polish Captain Rosinski and what these savages did to him. (This is the war with the 'miracle on the Vistula,' the involvement of the Ukrainian People's Republic on the side of Poland, and the betrayal of the Poles by signing the Treaty of Riga with the Bolsheviks without informing their Ukrainian allies.)
If you're interested, you can Google "Polish capt. Rosinski." I won’t post the photo itself. It's not a severed head, but it illustrates the deeply disturbed mental state of these individuals.
And this is done by people for whom the global cultural community dresses up the compatriots of Dostoevsky, Chekhov, and Tolstoy, and those who claim to be carriers of "Russian culture."
Yet, the emperor is metaphorically naked, and in Russian 'war and peace,' peace only exists as a prelude to the next war.
