Kremlin will resort to force before entering talks — Ukrainian diplomat
Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi says the Kremlin is preparing for talks with Washington through an information attack
He spoke about this on Espreso TV.
“There is an intensified disinformation attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine, Europe and the United States of America. The signals of such an attack are the materials published in the Italian and German press - an interview with Dmitry Suslov, one of the ideologues of the current regime and the course of racist Muscovy, in particular in the Italian edition of Corriere della Sera. As for the mastodons of this policy, the Russian publication “Russia in the Global World” published an article by Sergei Karaganov (Russian political scientist and economist) under the heading “Breaking the Back of Europe,” Roman Bezsmertnyi commented.
According to him, the components of these materials were distributed to the world press. Bloomberg and The New York Times ran short clippings from Suslov's interview and Karaganov's article. However, neither Bloomberg nor The New York Times cited sources, but for some reason these materials were put in Putin's mouth. And this is an attempt to build a starting position for the first contact between Moscow and Washington with information artillery.
“Here I propose to turn for an answer to what Karaganov writes about in his article “Breaking the Back of Europe,” which clearly describes the continuation of nuclear blackmail. Moreover, the topic of Oreshnik is mentioned there again. There are also indications of the need for a radical change in nuclear doctrine, a build-up of offensive capabilities on the front line, and a continuation of the offensive in the coming months. By the way, it is no coincidence that these terms coincide with the May 9 theme, because it indicates that the offensive on the front line should be intensified in the next three and four months, and maybe even six months,” the politician noted.
The diplomat added that this article includes things related to strengthening cooperation with Iran and China, as well as the use of hybrid attacks in Europe and around the world.
“If we talk about the Kremlin's 'artillery preparation' for the start of any dialogue, it will use force, which has always been characteristic not only of such an institution as negotiations, but even of each round of negotiations, because Moscow has always used the factor of force to put pressure on the negotiators. I am speaking frankly about this because I was a participant in the Minsk process and even saw the schedules of intensified shelling of Ukrainian positions on the eve of the talks. Literally overnight, it intensified. Therefore, today the whole world will be under such fierce information pressure,” Bezsmertnyi summarized.
